Eden Prairie, Minn. — This morning, three state representatives testified in front of Congress about the ongoing fraud investigations in Minnesota, and Representative Marion Rarick shared that some whistleblowers let her know that Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, at an Equity Conference in Brooklyn Center, MN, denounced X users who were concerned about fraud as “weirdos and losers sitting in their mothers’ basements.”

“Peggy Flanagan may see Tim Walz as the perfect patsy to take all the blame for the defrauding of taxpayers,” Hann said. “But we now know that Walz is not alone when it comes to culpability and incompetence.

On behalf of all Minnesotans, I urge the House Oversight Committee to summon, or subpoena if necessary, Peggy Flanagan before them in an effort to get to the bottom of what she knew about the massive fraud, when she knew it, and what she did about it besides labeling whistle blowers as ‘weirdos and losers sitting in their mothers’ basements.’

Over the past few weeks, we have seen many disturbing issues come to light on X and social media. The people concerned about fraud and the use of their tax payer dollars are not weirdos and losers - they are hard working Minnesotans who are living through an affordability crisis that Biden, Walz, and Flanagan created. They are living in a high tax state that Walz and Flanagan created, and calling them names does not change the fact that Flanagan failed to spend their hard-earned tax dollars wisely nor alleviate her from taking accountability for her role in it.

Peggy Flanagan mocking citizens for raising reasonable concerns over fraud in her own administration disqualifies her from being the Lieutenant Governor, let alone a U.S. Senator. Instead of responding with insults, she should respond with answers. This tells us all we need to know, and it is this kind of disdain and disgust for taxpayers seeking accountability is exactly how corruption thrives in Minnesota."
