… if Tafoya Had Her Way



Eden Prairie, Minn. — Former Minnesota Senate Minority Leader David Hann tonight hailed President Trump and the achievements he rightfully touted during his State of the Union address while releasing a recently recovered video proving that all the President has accomplished would not have happened if Michele Tafoya had been successful in her efforts to convince him not to run against President Joe Biden:


“President Trump delivered exactly what he promised — a stronger border, lower taxes, rebuilt military strength, and an America that stands tall again. President Trump didn’t just campaign on restoring America’s strength — he delivered historic results in 2025 that are already making our country safer, stronger, and more prosperous,” said Hann. “But let’s be clear: Michele Tafoya didn’t want any of it to happen. She publicly begged President Trump not to run. If she had gotten her way, none of these victories would exist.  


Minnesota Republicans deserve a nominee who stood with President Trump when it mattered — not someone who – in trying to stop him – would have denied Minnesotans all that he has achieved for them in just this past year alone.


President Trump saw opportunity. Michele Tafoya saw 'chaos.' President Trump delivered results. Michele Tafoya wanted him gone. Minnesota Republicans deserve a nominee who stands with President Trump — not someone who tries to stop him.”


This recently recovered video was thought lost when just days ago Michele Tafoya deleted her entire Substack to hide from President Trump and Minnesota’s Republicans the disparaging things she said about our President when America needed him most.


In an open letter to President Trump - published on Tafoya’s now deleted Substack — the California native and former sideline reporter strongly urged then-former President Donald Trump to not run again against President Joe Biden claiming our 45th President would bring too much “baggage,” “tumult,” ‘abnormality,’ and even ‘insanity’ to the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary.


Tafoya even had the audacity to preface her rationale against President Trump’s candidacy by saying: “If you really love America, please don’t run for President again” adding “if you genuinely love America, you should put her future above your own.”
