David Hann on Michele Tafoya’s Senate Bid:
“Minnesota Republicans deserve better than a candidate who stabbed President Trump, the MAGA Movement, and pro-life Republicans in the back, and now – for political expediency’s sake – expects all to be forgotten.”
Eden Prairie, Minn. — Former Minnesota Senate Minority Leader David Hann today released the following statement on the announcement by California native Michele Tafoya, best known from her days as a sideline reporter for NBC Sunday Night Football, that she’s a candidate for the 2026 Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate:
“There’s a big difference between reporting on events from the sidelines and actually leading the fight to reclaim Minnesota from the clutches of radical far left extremists,” Hann said. “The last time California native Michele Tafoya stepped onto the political playing field, she called pro-life Republicans ‘stupid’, demanded they abandon their heartfelt fight to ban abortion, and said to Donald Trump, ‘if you genuinely love America,’ you won’t run against Joe Biden.”

Michele Tafoya on Abortion:
Tafoya went beyond criticizing President Donald Trump and turned her contempt on pro-life Republicans themselves, dismissing their deeply held convictions and insulting them for standing up for the unborn.
Calling pro-life Republicans “stupid”, Tafoya blamed pro-life Republicans for electoral losses before going even further and insisting that Republicans should “take the word ban out of this” effectively demanding that pro-life Republicans abandon the fight to ban abortion altogether for political gain.
